(More customer reviews)What can you say about a light bulb? Edison invented it over 100 years ago and it hasn't changed much through the years! All I can say about this product is that it met my expectations, has OEM fit and finish, and burns long and brightly. However, next time I would buy the replacement lamp without the housing and save a few bucks. I didn't realize that option was available until after I had replaced my original lamp.

(More customer reviews)After owning my samsung DLP rear projection TV for five years the screen was not nearly as bright. I checked the lamp timer in the service menu and it had 10,350 hours on it. I had no warning lights, nothing "wrong" with the TV it just kept getting darker and darker until finally I figured we needed a new TV. I did some research and figured out that it was probably the bulb that was bad so I ordered this bulb to replace my old one. I looked on the left side of the TV and found the model number, looked it up and found the lowest priced here on amazon, got it a couple days later and put it in. It was literally as easy as removing a couple of screws on the back of the TV and pulling out the old bulb and putting in the new one. The difference is incredible!!! It's like we got a brand new TV!! No, I don't work for Samsung or whoever makes these bulbs. My TV was just going out and can't tell you how happy I am to have it back. I included a couple of pictures you can check out at the top of the screen so you can see the difference. I took out the old bulb by myself, put this one in and from the second I turned it on there was a dramatic difference. If your TV is starting to seem not too bright and it's been a few years you may want to consider changing the bulb for $81 before you spend $2000 on a new TV.
