(More customer reviews)I will never mount another TV on the wall without this product. It makes running power and cables so much easier and more professional looking. This is one of the best ways you can safely run power behind the wall for your TV. The included template makes it easy to cut the necessary holes for mounting the power boxes and covering plate. The plate looks very professional on the wall and gives the install a "finished" look.
I have a Samsung TV (PN63C8000), and with its large, flat power plug, I had to purchase a short power connection cable (the ones used to connect power adapters to surge protectors) in order to plug in my TV. Even with this minor problem, I think the kit is well worth the money and makes installing a TV on a wall much more simple to accomplish.

(More customer reviews)I recently mounted a Plasma TV on the wall and wanted to hide the wires. I initially thought about doing the "not up to code" homeowner solution which is just fishing the TV's power cable behind the wall the same as the HDMI cables. However, I'm a stickler for doing things the right way and just didn't feel comfortable doing something non-code. After investigating the cost and hassle of wiring a new receptacle box into the circuit breaker I found out about this Datacomm product. It was really easy to install, the directions were straight forward and it best of all, it's UL rated and satisfies electrical code. The only suggestion I have would be to flip the bottom outlet upside down when installing the gangbox and outlet cover. That way you make it much easier to string the wires and cables. This tip will make sense once you open up the box and start looking that the directions.
