(More customer reviews)In regular stores, it's evident from a glance at large-screen TV accessories that they're top-heavy with markup. I hate paying fifty bucks for cables when I can go online and fine the same cables for $20 or less. Likewise with the wall mounts: a hundred-dollar price tag for only about twenty bucks worth of hardware. That's why I bought this: I just wanted something that would keep my cool new TV from getting knocked over by the kids.
THE GOOD:
- The low price is a fair value for what you get.
- Some of the included hardware was not too bad.
THE BAD:
- No instructions. (They do include a drawing of what the finished thing is supposed to look like, and you can pretty much tell from that which parts are supposed to go where.)
- Description says bubble level included, but where is it? (There was a slot in the wall mount body, and some jagged pieces of clear plastic at the bottom of the box. I'm guessing that that was the remains of the level, originally built into the wall mount itself. Which could have been handy, but unnecessary if you have your own basic tools.)
- Included hardware did not fit my TV. (TV mounting screws were too long. If you're installing a wall mount, see your TV owner's manual to make sure the screws you're using are the right size. Too short, and they won't hold up the TV. Too long, and you'll destroy the screen by punching holes through it from the backside.)
- Included hardware did not fit my wall. (The big lag screws were adequate if you're mounting directly to studs. If not, the included plastic anchors for mounting on drywall looked flimsy and untrustworthy for anything over 5 pounds. If you're mounting on drywall, plan on a trip to Home Depot.)
- Construction of the mount is only adequate. (It's just a powder-coated stamping of low-gauge steel. Sony recommends a mount that holds 4x the weight of the TV; this thing is only rated at about 3x. I chose to live with the lower margin of safety because once it's installed, there's not going to be any further stress on the mount: it's not like it has to flex or be cycled through additional loads. But I found myself wishing that the steel had been a little heavier gauge.)
OVERALL: It's not pretty, it's not great, but it gets the job done, and it's cheap. Better instructions and hardware would have been nice. Grade: C-minus.

(More customer reviews)I am using this for an ASUS 26" 21 lb monitor. After reading the previous review I was very careful to follow the installation instructions which are adequate but leave a few details out. First, when you mount the thing to the wall studs use a level on the side of the base or it will probably end up slightly crooked. Next, the included allen wrenches are not discussed but are for tightening the tilt mechanism in the back. At first glance it appears there is a phillips head screw for that on each side, but not so. If you tighten the four allen screws mentioned above there will be no problem with the tilt adjustment. Having done all this I can say this thing is a real bargain. It works very well for what I am using it for and I would highly recommend it, especially if you want to get your monitor off your desk.

(More customer reviews)This wall mount is great. It is constructed very well and was easy to install. It looks clean and discreet on the wall and provides virtually 180 degree swivel for my 32 inch TV. It came with all needed hardware to mount to the wall including heavy duty wall anchors for the wall screws that did not hit a wall stud. The only complication was that I had to get the correct bolts for mounting the TV to the mount itself (the product did come with two different size bolts for this purpose but neither was the right size to mount the TV to the bracket). I found the correct bolts very easily at my local hardware store.
After hanging the TV (32 inch BestBuy Insignia - Approx 30 lb. with mounting holes 200 X 200) I am very confident my TV is secure and safe. In addition, the product is very well priced. Local stores wanted $100-$150 for similar mounts. WOW!

(More customer reviews)I bought this wall mounting system based on the other person's review. I'm glad that I did. UPS delivered this mount on the same day my new TV was getting delivered. With a little measuring, I had this installed in about an hour. It came with all of the hardware and fasteners that I needed. No missing pieces. No damage or scratches. It mounts to studs and it very strong. There are holes in the base plate to run wires through. They are in 2 different places so you can pick the location that fits your situation best. I was worried that this might be a 2-person job but I did everything by myself. I mounted a new 40" Samsung. It fits securely and will not fall off the wall by mistake. I have had to remove the TV 3 times due to adding components and running new wires through the wall. Loosening the security screws on the TV rails allow you to take the TV off of the wall, do your business and hang it back up again in no time. Tighten the security screws once again and you're done. You can tilt the top down if you like but I have mine flush with the wall. It looks classy and there are no visible wires. My wife thought it was magic. This is a great bargain and well made. This is the wall mounting system for you too.
