(More customer reviews)got this mount as part of promotion with 46 inch LCD. LCD weights over 80 pounds which is not that bad. Hanging the wall plate was relatively easy , but second person would be helpful if you are not handy. If you are putting this mount on the wall by yourself , I wouldn't be relying on the level attached to a mount, but rather level and drill the holes for the screws. Of course, be sure to find the studs first and make sure you can align the holes on the mount with the marks on the wall.
Averall the constraction of the mount is very solid. The tubes are detachable, so it makes a lot easier to screw the mount to the wall as there is no obstraction and less weight. I found only 3 cons with this product: 1.the TV screws and spacers provided are too generic and in my case added 0.5 inch to the distance from the wall. 2. Mount screws are too thin I think and not compatible with washers. The screw just doesn't go all the way because the hole in the washer is too small. 3. To adjust tilt for a large TV you need 2 people period. I tried to tighten one side first and then another and end up jamming my hand with tv to avoid it hitting the wall.
After all Mustang it's a good, solid mount , and what you really need to do is to decide between Static ot Tilt mounts.

(More customer reviews)I finally took the plunge to by a new HD TV. I decided on the Samsung LNT4065F 40" 1080p LCD HDTV (~35 pounds). I bought this mount because I have to locate the TV above my existing desk, so I needed the ability to either have it against the wall, or extended out in front of the desk. Installation was a breeze, I did it myself although you should really have two people (one to hold the mount, the other to screw the lag bolt in the stud). I was able to find the manual for this online before I bought it to verify all the dimensions.
PDR Mounts actually received my rebate form and actually called me to see if I was happy with the product. This is a refreshing difference from most rebate forms! Usually most companies may or may not send you a check back and I've never got a call back before. PDR went above and beyond most companies in this respect.
Minor (very minor) annoyance: When I went to level it, I found that the front mounting bracket frame was maybe 2-5 degrees tilted vs. the wall mount piece. So I ended up leveling in in reference to the front mounting bracket instead of the wall mount piece so the TV is perfectly level now.

I just received the rebate check. This is amazing, since I received in just about 2 weeks. Never received a rebate so fast.

(More customer reviews)The reason I wanted to get the X-Arm is because it is motorized and I can adjust my TV with my remote. My TV is over my fireplace in a cathedral ceiling sunken great room with a lot of windows. Due to the layout of our furniture, sun glare, and how many people might be watching TV at any one time, I find myself adjusting the TV a lot or closing the blinds. I had a traditional articulating mount, but it is a pain to stand up and adjust it nearly twice a day and even a bit dangerous for my wife because at 5"'6'' she can barely reach it, let alone my kids. I also didn't like the fact that I had to grip my TV to adjust it. I also love that when you turn the TV off it goes nearly flush against the wall which looks much better when the TV is off.
I don't mind paying a bit more for the convenience of a remote controllable motorized mount. And the price is not that different from a normal articulating mount which is basically just a piece of aluminum or steel without all the electronic gadgetry and engineering of the X-Arm.
This is one very well made mount. Since this review I bought another one for my bedroom. Trust me when I say you get what you pay for. Everyone that has seen it at my home now want one themselves. It is really is that cool. When you want to create a true home theater experience, this mount is an essential as the rest of the home theater components.

I mounted it to my wall properly to the stud and got it all set up, but once I had everything as tight as I could get it, it showed a little bit of sag throughout the arms; I made sure to hold the tv up while I was tightening everything in fear of bending the parts. My LCD is only 25-30lbs, and this is rated for 60. I might not trust it for 60 lbs. Either way, my tv still floats nicely in my room and the sag for my tv is minimal, and I do like the way it adjusts so I give it 4 stars out of 5.

(More customer reviews)This Sanus tilting wall mount is the smaller version of the non-tilting one I use on my $6,000 50" Fujitsu plasma TV. It has all the ruggedness and strength of its bigger sibling, lots of mounting hardware for both the wall mounting and TV mounting, and provisions for locking the TV to the wall.
Thick, heavy gauge steel that's finished with a nice black paint, a smooth up/down tilt track and positive screw-clutch mechanizm completes the package. Very good straight-ahead instructions are included, too.
There are multiple holes to mate to your TV threads. The two brackets attach independantly to each side of the back of the TV.
Getting the whole thing onto the wall mount is as easy as tilting the TV bottom out, hooking the tops of the brackets over the wall mount, rotating the TV bottom down and flipping the locking tabs in place.
Once you get the wall mount bolted to the wall and the two brackets on the TV, it takes about 30 seconds to get the TV secured to the wall, which is great because you don't want to have to fumble and fool around trying to get "your precious" secured to the wall.
When I was shopping for the 32" Samsung LCD TV that is going onto this mount, I looked at some of the wall mounts they had at the store, and they were pitiful little things by comparison. I headed right home and ordered this one from Amazon.
This is a great medium-size wall mount, highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)In regular stores, it's evident from a glance at large-screen TV accessories that they're top-heavy with markup. I hate paying fifty bucks for cables when I can go online and fine the same cables for $20 or less. Likewise with the wall mounts: a hundred-dollar price tag for only about twenty bucks worth of hardware. That's why I bought this: I just wanted something that would keep my cool new TV from getting knocked over by the kids.
THE GOOD:
- The low price is a fair value for what you get.
- Some of the included hardware was not too bad.
THE BAD:
- No instructions. (They do include a drawing of what the finished thing is supposed to look like, and you can pretty much tell from that which parts are supposed to go where.)
- Description says bubble level included, but where is it? (There was a slot in the wall mount body, and some jagged pieces of clear plastic at the bottom of the box. I'm guessing that that was the remains of the level, originally built into the wall mount itself. Which could have been handy, but unnecessary if you have your own basic tools.)
- Included hardware did not fit my TV. (TV mounting screws were too long. If you're installing a wall mount, see your TV owner's manual to make sure the screws you're using are the right size. Too short, and they won't hold up the TV. Too long, and you'll destroy the screen by punching holes through it from the backside.)
- Included hardware did not fit my wall. (The big lag screws were adequate if you're mounting directly to studs. If not, the included plastic anchors for mounting on drywall looked flimsy and untrustworthy for anything over 5 pounds. If you're mounting on drywall, plan on a trip to Home Depot.)
- Construction of the mount is only adequate. (It's just a powder-coated stamping of low-gauge steel. Sony recommends a mount that holds 4x the weight of the TV; this thing is only rated at about 3x. I chose to live with the lower margin of safety because once it's installed, there's not going to be any further stress on the mount: it's not like it has to flex or be cycled through additional loads. But I found myself wishing that the steel had been a little heavier gauge.)
OVERALL: It's not pretty, it's not great, but it gets the job done, and it's cheap. Better instructions and hardware would have been nice. Grade: C-minus.

It was an incredibly easy installation and from start to finish the TV was on the wall in under 10 minutes. In addition, this mount has the ability to "flip up" the bottom of your TV so that you can access the inputs after it is on the wall and includes braces that you flip down to keep it propped up (about 4") while working. The package includes ample mounting harware for all types of TV's (Flat back, Angled back, etc). I definitely recommend.

(More customer reviews)Although I needed to hang a 32" LED in the kid's room, I could not bring myself to spend big bucks at the local, major stores for a simple mount (~1/3rd the price of the tv for a mount is ridiculous). This mount is not as heavy duty as the others, but it worked fine. Afterall, an LED is relatively light. I am using the HDMI cable to connect a Roku and it works fine as well (I havent tried the other cables). The base plate is 4 pieces that have to be screwed together, which had me nervous at first, but no problems there. Two minor issues. 1) The screws provided were all too big for the TV, but the screws that came with the TV to mount it on its base worked so I was covered without a trip to the hardware store and 2) I did not receive the separate level. However, I did confirm the built in level with a real level I already have and it was right.
Overall a good, inexpensive alternative to the local stores that I feel comfortable hanging an LED on.

Since I always check out amazon before making a purchase anywhere else.. I found this wall mount. There werent any reviews at the time on it.. but it seemed pretty good so I took the chance and ordered it. The price can't be beat and when I got it home I found out the quality cant be beat either. It was a breeze to set up and its very sturdy. I wouldve gave it five stars but the only problem is the tilt portion of the item.. its very hard to tilt the tv up and down.. so i didnt want to take a chance of God for bit breaking it so I left it flat on the wall. If you're looking for a very durable.. sturdy wall mount for any one of the above makes.. than def get this one.. its wonderful!

(More customer reviews)I got this mount cause it was cheap. i paid for the 2 day shipping and got it in 2 days. once it was in my possecion, i opened it up and observe it. It looks cheap, but then again it is hidden behind the tv, so who cares. It did come in 6 pieces, 4 of which you need to screwn together to mount on your wall and 2 that bolt on to your tv. My Tv is a sony and i had to position nuts on the screws on the tv because the screws that came with the mount were to long. I did use my own level, the one that is built in was a few degrees off. I gave it 4 star for 1 reason, my tv is still hanging in my daughters room, it is performing it job. As to all the other little situations, I enjoy a challenge in the projects i do, however if you don't enjoy a challenge and can afford to spend a little bit more, I would probly do so!

It moves just like they say every direction and even tips down so when we hung it up higher on our wall in the bedroom it was perfect! There was one thing really that I need to tell you. I didn't understand what one or so people in other reviews were talking about when they say it sags when putting a bigger TV on it. Now I know! It does sag a inch further down when you put a bigger TV on it. We put a 26 inch Flat panel TV on it which also is the biggest I think this mounting bracket said it could hold. The TV is way under the weight that the bracket can hold and it holds our TV with NO Problems, but when measuring the height be sure you understand to allow that the TV when up will be 1 inch lower. Please don't let this deter you from getting the mounting bracket. The price is great and it will hold the bigger 26 inch TV just fine! I was worried but I am REALLY happy I got this cheaper one. Oh and it was so easy to install too!

(More customer reviews)Yes, this is expensive (especaially when compared to the off-brand ones like High Def Concept Samsung WMN1000C Alternative for Compatible with LED ('2010 - C6300, 6400, 6500, 6800, 7000, 8000 series : 60-inch & 65-inch) and Compatible with Plasma ('2010 - C6400, 6500, 7000, 8000 series : 58-inch & 63-inch) ) but I figured if you are spending a few thousand dollars on the TV, whats another $134 to get the one made by Samsung--after all, the livelihood of my Samsung TV depends on the wall mount.
Thats how I picked the Samsung mount. Now let me tell you why I really love the design of this mount: I think its the only way to have your cake and eat it too--for me, that means a slim fit (TV really close to the wall) AND being able to access the connections without taking the huge TV down every time. The kickstand feature is great for this and I just do not think its possible on any of the standard VESA "hook" style mounts (which is pretty much all mounts). I like the slim fit as I have the TV hung in an entryway, so if it stuck out alot, people would bump into it. I took down my standard slim-fit VESA mount because I was constantly having to take the TV down to fix connections in the back and it requires alot of strength, 2 people, and a carefulness that you do not scratch the TV. This solved all that and I highly recommend.
They give you all kinds of hardware to mount to any surface--it does not have to be in your wall studs, there are bolts and nuts to mout it right to drywall!
I would have given this 5 stars but there is one big drawback: Since your TV is hung like a picture, its not as solid as a standard mount. Bumping it makes it crooked, but its easily fixed. The real bad result is that depending on how you run your wires, if a particular corner has any bulky ones, that corner will stick out further from the wall. Not a huge deal but realize your screen may not be exactly parallel to the wall. If your TV is thin enough (like the Samsung 1.1" thick models) it will also torque your TV slightly away from flat, which may have adverse affects over time. Still, this issue is not enough to make me send it back and it is outweighed by the kickstand feature for me. And I took care to route all cables as flat as possible. Not easy since they all converge in the bottom left corner (thats where the Samsung TV hookups are).

(More customer reviews)This product is truly an example of "You get what you pay for". I purchased my 2nd Samsung LED TV. The first was 50-Inch and the most recent a smaller 40-Inch. I hung the first 50-Inch Samsung with no problem paying the $125 (Best buy over $200) on line for the Samsung Hanging kit. I thought I would try the $25 off brand kit this time saving some money. After all, the components to hang the LED TV are pretty simple. Well, the TV / wall spacing mounts would not get tight enough to secure the mounts to the TV. The screws provided were to small for the provided anchors. When screwed in they would just continue to spin and not tighten. I should have known better then to expect the same quality for $25. I ended up throwing away the kit and ordering the Samsung kit.
