I tried adjusting the contrast and try connecting it to other cable hook-ups in the house and the picture was still not good. I wouldn't recommend this t.v. it's not worth the money. Buyers beware

The 20-inch Samsung LN-R2050 is a great multi-tasker for the bedroom or home offices, offering the ability to watch enhanced definition television as well as use it as a PC monitor. The dual purpose pedestal stand can also be used as an articulating wall mount when itÕs folded back. Additionally, the stand can be removed for wall-mounting via optional VESA compatible hardware. Designated as an EDTV, the LN-R2050 displays signals in 480-line progressive (480p) mode, and can also accept 480p signals from video sources such as progressive-scan DVD players. While an EDTV doesn't have enough pixels for a true high-definition resolution, the difference is surprisingly small.
This set has a 800 x 600-pixel resolution, 4:3 standard aspect ratio, 25ms (millisecond) response time, 500 cd/m2 brightness rating, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It also offers 160-degree horizontal and 120-degree vertical viewing angles.
It comes with a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner (MTS/SAP) for viewing standard broadcast and cable stations. The digital comb filter minimizes edge image artifacts while improving transition detail. Other features include a variable sleep timer, four picture modes, closed caption decoder, V-Chip parental controls, and multilingual on-screen displays (English, Spanish, Portuguese and French). This set is also Energy Star compliant, requiring up to 25 percent less energy than other comparable TVs.
The built-in side-mounted speakers provide 3 watts of power per channel (for 6 watts total), and this set provides five sound modes (Standard, Music, Speech, Movie, and Custom) that allow you to tailor the audio to a specific program. It includes the following audio and video connection options:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this mount for my LG 47LE5400 TV (LG 47LE5400 47-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Internet Applications). It's a slim TV, and I was looking for a mount with a narrow profile. The TV is mounted in the bedroom, and normally sits flat against the wall, however I wanted to be able to pull it away from the wall and adjust the angle so that it was visible from the en-suite bathroom.
Installing the mount was relatively straight forward. It is attached to the wall with 2 large lag bolts (supplied). I did find that it was necessary to perform the installation steps in an order other than outlined in the installation manual - I chose to mount the vertical brackets to the back of the TV first, so that I could accurately measure for the vertical position of the mount. The installation instructions suggested that the vertical brackets would be centered top-to-bottom on the TV, but the hole pattern didn't quite line up that way for my TV (VESA 200 mount pattern). It turned out that the center of the mounting area lined up with the center of the TV anyways.
One of the challenges with installing this mount is that it has to be attached to something solid, i.e. a wall stud. This restricts the horizontal placement of the mount. The attachment point is about 6 inches off center from the mount when collapsed tight to the wall, but it can be mounted either to the left or right of center. Depending on your TV, there may be a little room to slide the TV left-right on the bracket once it's attached to the wall. On my TV, the electronics connections prevented much lateral motion.
One of the great things about this mount is that it allow for fine tuning adjustments once it's attached to the wall. This is great since it can be really difficult to get the bracket mounted perfectly vertical on the wall. Once the TV was mounted to the bracket, I was able to loosen 4 retaining nuts in the center of the mount and rotate the TV to ensure that it was level horizontally.
The mount is definitely slim profile. When pushed back to the wall, the TV sits less than one inch from the wall. The mount allows the TV to be pulled away from the wall, rotated horizontally, and tilted vertically. Moving my TV requires 2 hands, but the motion feels smooth and solid, it's not too difficult. Once positioned, it stays in place.
One area for improvement in this mount would be cable management. There were 2 cable-management attachments provided with the mount, but they don't really allow enough attachment points to secure the cables to the mount in a way that allows the cables to stay neat and allow the full range of motion. Also, since it's a slim-profile mount, it's really important that the cables be secured neatly so that they don't get caught between the TV and the wall and prevent the TV from sitting tight to the wall.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the mount.

Samsung TXR2735 27" Dynaflat Analog TV Review

(More customer reviews)With the HDTV revolution taking off, I wasn't sure if the next TV I purchase would be HDTV or standard. But after realizing that a top quality 27" HDTV would cost $600 to $700, I decided to buy a top quality standard 27". I have used Samsung products before, and I have always been more than satified with the results. The same can be said for the TXR2735. Picture is sharp, without becoming pixilated. While color is not totally saturated, you can turn off the digital filters to give the picture more colors. Sound is great. I wasn't expecting sound to be so crystal clear with this set. I'm also a gamer, and the TV has more than met my gaming needs. The visual design of the TV also makes it a handsome addition to the room. All in all, if you're not ready for HDTV, then this is the standard set you should keep in mind.

(More customer reviews)Never really concentrated to much on the sony products because of the prices of them. For the money, you can get a larger sized samsung like a 32", or for the same size TV you can save big bucks by going with a westinghouse or other bargain priced TV's sized at 26" which is ideal for a bedroom. After purchasing a 26" westinghouse and not being extremely happy I bought a 32" Vizio. Still not satisfied, I left the bargain TV basement and took the plunge and bought this TV. Wow, what a difference. At $300-$400 dollars more than the westy, I'm not sure if it's that much better if tied to a budget, but if you've got it (cash), get it (sony). As far as specs go, read the description, but rest assured this TV is really nice. Sound is better than expected for a 26", menus are nice, picture is B.A. On XBOX 360, the best and most graphically demanding game is by far Gears of War. This TV makes it look incredible. The darks are dark enough in the spooky parts unlike other TVs I've tried out which looked washed out and lame. This set really makes the whole thing look alot better. I have been switching between the 3 presets (vivid, cinema, standard) and haven't made any tweaks yet exept for turning on the dynamic lighting. I'm sure you could make the picture even better with some adjustments but it's unnecessary.

Vizio VL320M 32" LCD HDTV Review

(More customer reviews)I picked up this Vizio 32" LCD for $399 at Sears. I was planning on getting a 720p TV but I couldn't pass up 1080p for the price. The picture is incredible, blacks are very dark! I did notice a little trouble with a horizontal line appearing at the top of SD broadcasts, adjusted the picture a bit and that is gone! The speakers are not fantastic, there is very little bass. They do have an equalizer but I haven't played with it. Overall this TV is a great deal and even at $500 performs like a much more expensive TV! I would highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)We had just bought a 60" LCD TV and we have two small children so we needed something to protect the screen. Our two year old loves to throw things so this seemed perfect. He also always has to touch everything. So the screen protector is good for keeping his fingerprints off the actual TV screen. He can also throw hard objects at the TV even though he's not suppose to he has and this has been a lifesaver. He once threw a golf ball at it, I think he found it outside because I certainly don't let him have golf balls. When we first got this I tried to scrape a sharp knife across the protector and I couldn't even scratch it, this thing is that good. The only thing I can that's negative about this was the little sticker Velcros attached used to hang this on the TV, although they work really well we had to keep trying to get the protector on the TV several times because there would be little parts of the sticker hanging out and really it's only a minor detail. The sticker Velcro attachments hang the protector pretty decently onto the TV, our son hasn't been able to pull it off yet. All in all I think it was a good investment.
