(More customer reviews)I have never written a review for anything, but a review for this TV is a must. It's picture quality is amazing from cable to BluRay to DVD. It has brought my old DD's to life with the motionflow 240hz technology. If you know anything about this, it looks as if you are on the set when they are filming and gives a depth to each scene. Just watched the Se7en on it (non-Blu-Ray) and caught things I missed on the set due to this TV's clarity and depth. I thought it would only bring my Blu-Ray's to life, but even movies like The Natural plain DVD were killer and made Robert Redford seem timeless like it was recently shot even though the movie was shot nearly 30 years ago.
I purchased this set from a local Fry's for 999.00 and based on thorough research and comparisons, it was a steal. Even watching the high end Sony's etc, they were giving the same picture quality at almost twice the price.
I can't speak for the lip sync issues, as I have it running to an old surround sound system and not showing any problems.
Bottom line, LG is making a rival 240hz slick design flat panel that exceeds other high end brands at a fraction of the cost.

(More customer reviews)I got this monitor/tv in December and I really loved it. There are some issues with light leaking around edges of screen but nothing that bothered me. After 3 months of owning the monitor it broke. The screen went black and white and buttons didn't work on the monitor. I called support and they said that it was a firmware problem (which they said was common) and I would have to send it in. It took about 4 phone calls and a lot of managers to finally convince Viewsonic to pay for shipping since it was only 3 months old. My monitor has been gone for about a month now and I have heard now word. I call support and they say that there is no way of getting any more specific details than "in repair". Very frusterating especially since I use this as a monitor for my computer. I recommend not buying this monitor/tv because of reliability issues and there are many other similar priced options.

(More customer reviews)I spent over a year researching AND trying out flat panels to find what, in my opinion, is the best deal for a premium LCD HDTV. By "premium" I mean a full HD set, over 40", 1080P display and, very important 120HZ which VIZIO calls "smooth motion". It turned out that the one set that met all my requirements, BEFORE price considerations, was the VIZIO SV470XVTa1 120HZ set. The picture is BLAZINGLY crystal clear, colors are perfect and, VERY IMPORTANT if this is to be the users primary display, is the benefit LCDS enjoy over plasmas...NO GLARE or REFLECTION off the screen! Just check out any LCD vs plasma set on display in most any store..you could comb your hair in front of a plasma and it reflects almost every light in sight. NOT so with LCD. Now here is the BEST PART of this review...you can buy a brand new VIZIO like mine described above for UNDER $1300. In some cases I've seen under $1250. You can not beat VIZIO for the best deal on a premium LCD HDTV...period! (Oh, yes, FOUR HDMI ports also!!!) One more point...VIZIO professes to be "Made in USA!"

(More customer reviews)Great product. I bought this to serve as both a monitor (primarily) and a TV (secondarily). It is hooked up to my PC and to the DirecTV HD satellite receiver through HDMI cables. The PC has an ATI 5770 graphics card and is used for high end gaming as well as the other normal functions most PC users do. The gaming requires a monitor with a fast refresh rate and high resolution. The HD programs I watch either from DirecTV or DVD player requires an HD TV and this monitor provides 1920x1080 resolution and full 1080P HD in TV mode. This AOC product handles both the monitor and the TV chores without a hitch. And if that isn't enough, it comes with an actual 8 1/2" x 11" manual that is written in reasonably sized type and in a style that is very easy to understand. No need to go online and download a manual in tiny type or view one from a CD. After reading this manual and recently experiencing painful sessions trying to decipher Sony, Samsung, Onkyo, and LG (the worst) manuals I can say that AOC ought to be writing the manuals for all those other manufacturers. If you are not familiar with AOC they have been in business a long time and have been making electronic products for other companies who sell them under their name. AOC bought the old U.S Admiral electronics company in the late 1960's when Japan Inc, was running RCA, Zenith, Admiral and other U.S. companies out of the home electronics business. In recent years AOC, which is based in Taiwan, decided to sell TV's and monitors under their own name. This is the first AOC product I have purchased and I am impressed.

(More customer reviews)First, I will preface this review by saying that I have only used these glasses for a total of appx. 30 minutes, and so I may modify my rating next week to 4 stars, but I highly doubt that (I plan to watch about 5 3D Blu-Rays from start to finish using my new glasses while on vacation!).
A few things, the weekend before these arrived, I was at home and I went to watch Ice Age 3 3D and as I pulled out my 3D Panasonic Gen 1 glasses the first 2 of 3 pairs were dead!!!!! No 'auto off' feature, and I have no idea if I forgot to turn them off or more likely bumped the power switch while folding them up etc. and putting them into their protective boxes! Thankfully my 3rd pair still had a working battery.
So, improvement #1 - when these new Gen 2 Glasses are 'on' there is a steady blinking pulse from the LED. Improvement #2 - the power is no longer a button to be pressed but a 'switch'.
Next, once they arrived, since I did have one pair of the Gen 1's that still had a working battery I decided to watch appx. 20-30 minutes of Ice Age 3 3D with the old glasses first just to refresh my memory of all the things I 'disliked' about the old glasses - don't fit snug, light seeps in from the sides, none of the nose pieces fit properly, to easy to accidentally turn on when putting away or whatnot. Most especially though, they feel like they are going to fall off my face and when I lay sideways on the couch if I rest my head against a pillow it 'pushes' them off so I have to sit in awkward positions to watch my 3D content.
The new glasses were a god send- they fit perfectly (I used my snowboarding helmet size and measured my head to be certain I was a size medium), they are snug without pinching or hurting anywhere. I felt like I could power them off, walk in the kitchen, get a drink, come back, power them back on and pick up where I left off!
More importantly I can now lay or sit in any position I want without worry that my glasses will be falling off my face! Also, the sides no longer have those huge gaps in them!!
Icing on the cake, as mentioned above - on/off 'switch', flashing LED for on/off status, AND a USB charging cable (why all of this was not done in the Gen 1 glasses I have no idea, but after spending around $3,000+ on my 3D setup it was WELL worth the extra money for me to grab a set of these glasses).
I'll update my review after I spend more time with them but I couldn't figure out why there were no reviews when these have been out since October so I took a chance and ordered them and wanted to help if there were others still on the fence about getting these.
Be sure to get the right size though as the nose piece is not interchangeable (which I actually prefer).

(More customer reviews)Purchased this TV and returned it after a week. Couldn't stand the picture anymore. Overall picture was okay, but the flat tube apparently has problems. Scrolling tickers across the bottom of the screen appear to be waving in the breeze. I looked at other flat tubes when I returned it, and saw 3 more on display with the same problem. Any horizontal graphic looks curved, bowed, or slanted -- anything but straight and level. Also, very difficult to get accurate colors on this TV. Much better off to spend a little more for an LCD.
