(More customer reviews)I got this mount cause it was cheap. i paid for the 2 day shipping and got it in 2 days. once it was in my possecion, i opened it up and observe it. It looks cheap, but then again it is hidden behind the tv, so who cares. It did come in 6 pieces, 4 of which you need to screwn together to mount on your wall and 2 that bolt on to your tv. My Tv is a sony and i had to position nuts on the screws on the tv because the screws that came with the mount were to long. I did use my own level, the one that is built in was a few degrees off. I gave it 4 star for 1 reason, my tv is still hanging in my daughters room, it is performing it job. As to all the other little situations, I enjoy a challenge in the projects i do, however if you don't enjoy a challenge and can afford to spend a little bit more, I would probly do so!

This was my first HD TV and was happy with what I saw, it's great for watching movies and also a good TV to play video games on. The knock I have on this TV is the stock speakers it comes with, there just not that great, but there not horrorifyingly bad etheir. I just hooked up some PC speakers to them and sounds great, I used the headphone jack on the back of it. I read that other guys review and I don't understand how you can ignore a great picture and price over something as little as a time zone issue, which has not happend to me. But whatever some people get more fused over differnet things then others I guess.
Over all I'd highly recommend this TV to anyone that's on a budget but'd still like a great looking TV.

(More customer reviews)I have had this TV for 4 days so far, and I can't say enough positive about things about it. The set up was easy, and the amount of control you have for the picture settings is very in depth. The extra warranty of the 860 (18 months instead of 12 months for the 850) is a nice perk. The blue TOC (Touch of Color) is barely noticeable, it really looks black/graphite grey unless you look very closely. The good news is that the 'halo effect' that some owners of the 750 have complained about is non-existent on the 860. I also love the swivel stand because I did not wall mount this TV even though it is exceptionally thin.
Plugged in my HD cable box and new Blu-ray player via HDMI and everything has worked perfectly so far. The picture is stunning, and there are so many functions and features that I just haven't gone through all of them yet.
On the flip side, there is a lag if you are using the little circle dial on the remote. Better off just clicking up, down, left, or right instead of spinning the dial around and waiting for the TV to react.
I don't have surround sound yet, but the TV speakers aren't too bad. Hard to rave about fake surround sound from tiny TV speakers, but that's expected.
Overall, I would recommend this TV without hesitation this to anyone looking for a new 1080p LCD TV.

(More customer reviews)I just bought this and I love it. Great pictures, easy to use, and feels great. The size is a bit larger than some, but the optics are great and that is why. You are getting a 5x optical zoom. To do it right, you need to have a bigger lense and thus a bigger camera body.
Prior to this I had a Lumix I paid 500 for. The Lumix is much bigger than this camera!! About twice the size. You can get a tiny camera with tiny features or you can get a well designed camera that hs almost as small and delivers quality pics and professional features.
The Samsung is easier to use, takes better pictures (although the Lumix does take great pictures) and feels better. In addition, it has many more features, like a very well lit very large viewer display and HDMI interface.

Upon opening the package it looks real slick. It was a snap to get it installed into the base, placed into position and turned on. One thing I noticed right away is that the remote control for this TV works for both my Samsung 52" and the Viore (and the samsun control works for the Viore too) After some googling it appears that Viore's are manufactured using a lot of Samsung parts.
The internal speakers didn't seem very good but I will just be using headphones with this set (which sounds good).
The 1080p looks awesome on 360 playing modern warfare 2. Everything is crisp and sharp.
Overall I am impressed with this TV. It's easy to move around, cheap, and great quality!
If you're looking for a cheap secondary TV for console gaming (360, etc) look no further!

(More customer reviews)I have had this TV for a couple of weeks now. I waited a month from the day I ordered it to the day it finally arrived.
This TV is not heavy and it was easy putting it up on the wall mounted rack. I was pleasantly surprised.
Let me get this straight to anyone who is concerned, the gold bezel is like a faint gloss on the bottom of the TV. Hard to notice. I am not certain why they put that light color on the set, but you have to strain to notice it. When set up on in my theater room, this is not noticeable in any way. Don't worry about it if you are dithering on purchasing this set because of the gold bezel.
The picture is stunning and excellent. It is the best picture I have ever seen on a set. It's got some interesting features, for example the TV has a built in ambient light sensor which ramps the brightness of the picture up and down based on the light surrounding the TV. Turn it off. It dulls the picture quality in darkness. I have found no way to make it useful.
Folks, this TV has two major flaws but there is a work around for the first so bear with me. The second issue, only time will tell.
First, the TV seems like it is designed to be the hub of all of your HDMI components. The folks at Sharp assume that everyone will rush to buy a Sharp AV receiver, Sharp Blu-Ray player, etc. and have them work together with their Aquos Link. They are dreaming.
In my setup, I use a Pioneer AV receiver, a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and a DirecTV DVR, Satellite Receiver. All is HDMI and state of the art.
I wanted to pipe all of my HDMI components through the Pioneer AV Receiver and send an HDMI video signal to the Sharp TV. Works fine except the Sharp TV pops up a message "An Incompatible Audio Signal Has Been Received, etc., etc.".
Folks, I turned off the audio of the TV (selectable from the Sharp Menu), turned off the Aquos Link and I still got the message. Turns out, the TV REQUIRES PCM audio NOT HDMI only!!!! Even if you turn off the speakers on the TV, it still pops this silly message up.
Interestingly, there are only two ways to get this message off the bloody screen. First, you can turn the volume off the Sharp TV down to zero. Voila! The message goes away. The other way is to find a way to disable a pure HDMI audio signal from your AV receiver.
Okay, I found a work around by turning the volume to zero, but you would think that Sharp would be more interested in working with different HDMI components that are not Aquos Link. Nope, they don't. Very disappointing.
There is a second flaw that I do not know if it will fix itself or not. The bloody set "pops" loudly every few minutes or so. It's like the plastic is settling when it heats up. It's a strange noise but seems to be reducing over time. I don't like this problem as I don't have a work around. Time will tell.
Hindsight being 20/20, I think I would get a Sony or Samsung 65 inch LCD knowing what I know now. They are more expensive by 25% or so, but these two issues should not be in a high end TV.

This is an update to my earlier review. One month after ownership.
Couple of things I would like to report. I have downgraded this TV to two stars.
1. The "popping" sound hasn't gone away. It's still popping as often as ever. This is very annoying.
2. I have 4 pixels that have gone bad. They are very noticeable on the screen. they appear as white lights on the screen on a dark background.
3. The screen wants to adjust itself when it thinks it is too bright a picture. Even when I have this feature supposedly turned off. When moving from scene to scene, this "adjustment" is visible and annoying. It distracts you from the movie.
4. One thing I forgot to mention in my earlier review, I attempted to pipe all the HDMI components into the TV (as Sharp seems to think this is the best way), then pipe the sound output to my Pioneer AV receiver via a fiber optic digital (can't output HDMI from the TV). The TV DOES NOT pipe the native sound through from the components. The result was a downgraded sound from the TV to the AV receiver. This is why I decided to keep the AV receiver as my component hub because I wanted to enjoy the surround sound as the sending component (Blu Ray) meant it to be heard.
My observation / advice is: don't buy this set. Sharp needs to work on the end product for a year first. Too many issues. Again, the picture is excellent. No complaints about the picture quality other than the dead pixel issue and goofy auto brightness feature that won't turn off.

More info on the dead pixels. Just had a warranty person from Sharp come by and he found 10 more dead pixels on the screen that are not as bright or noticeable. Hopefully sharp replaces this beast as that totals 14 dead pixels.
As far as the popping sound. I am told I will have to live with it.

Latest update - Sharp replaced the set quickly (they paid shipping both ways). Their shipping company helped take the defective set down and put the replacement set up.
Only one dead pixel on this set. Much better and acceptable.
No popping sound either.
I am much happier with the Sharp now that I replaced the defective set. One thing to remember is that my defective set was one of the first ones out of the new manufacturing plant. This replacement seems to work fine.Thank you.

Samsung LNT4671F 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD TV Review

(More customer reviews)I've had my LN-T4671F for a couple of weeks now, and I'm very happy with it. I previously owned a Samsung plasma (4254), and this is definitely a better TV.
There are numerous good things about this television, including dark blacks, low noise (no noise except what is coming through the source), high-quality panel (low incidence of panel defects seen in earlier LCD televisions), wide range of adjustments available, beautiful picture quality (on par with the best LCDs available), and a very good price for all of this quality (as of Oct 2007 market).
There is only one known issue (as of Oct 2007): The TV needs to be set to Game Mode to watch football or soccer. This is a simple On/Off setting in the Setup menu. If the TV is not in Game Mode then football passes or long kicks often (about 50% of the time) exhibit a triple-ball effect. It looks something like this: (o). As it moves on screen, the image of the ball shows a repeated image of it's front (nose) and rear (tail) on either side of it. Most folks will see this triple image, some might just see it as an exaggerated blur (but the triple image is clearly visible when the playback is paused). This should be fixable by a firmware update, and turning on Game Mode fixes it as well, so it's not a big deal. Game Mode does limit the available picture adjustments, but in practice I can get the picture in Game Mode very close to what I get with the full range of adjustments. (The only thing is that Game Mode turns on some image sharpening that is ok with sports, but is not great with cartoons. So, I use Game Mode when watching football and turn it off for regular viewing. A lot of folks find that watching full time in Game Mode is very pleasing. It's a matter of preference).Recommendations for new owners:
1. Give it about 100 hours before the picture settles in. The backlight is a bit bright in the first 100 hours, so I found myself slowly adjusting it up during burn-in.
2. For basic adjustment try Movie with Standard color, Gamma -1, and color on Auto. After 100 hours, backlight can be turned up to 7 or 8 (unless you watch in a pitch black room), and for TV watching Brightness can be 45-50 and Contrast 70-80. On this TV, brightness sets the black level and contrast sets the white level. Turn the brightness up so that the actual black parts of the picture remain pitch black (ESPN HD SportsCenter is a good source for this. You should see detail in the dark suit jackets, but the shadowed areas on the set should remain rich black). Then adjust the Contrast just to the point that pure white objects (like lights or reflections off of football helmets) are white. You can tweak the contrast up from this point to give the image some snap, but don't go too high (the image can look harsh or washed out).
3. Turn off all of the image processing (DNIe, Edge Enhancement, etc.). The picture will look more natural (give it a couple of days if you're used to these things on). These things distort the picture slightly to make it look exciting, but the there is noise and other false information added to the image. Turning these things off lets the source be displayed undistorted, so a good source will look terrific.
4. For image size, use Just Scan. This passes the input directly to the screen without any processing to scale the image, resulting in a bit more crispness and clarity. However, some TV signals have a bit of noise at the very edge of the screen. In that case, set the TV to 16:9 and it will slightly crop the edges of the incoming image (this slight cropping, or overscan, is common on a lot of TVs and some broadcasters get lazy and just assume that the very edge of their picture (2-3%) will be cut off).
5. Play around with the Auto Motion Plus feature, but don't expect it to be great for everything. I've tried it on a lot of sources, and generally I leave it off. It can actually make things look too smooth. It's doing its job as advertised, but the result can look odd.
6. Consider a Harmony 880 programmable remote. I got one after buying the 4671, and it is terrific at automating the changing of inputs as you switch from TV to DVD to Video Game, etc.
7. The Apple TV looks amazing with this TV. It was an unexpected surprise to that see that the Apple TV can upscale to 1080p/60Hz and that the results are on par with my Toshiba XA2 HD-DVD player when it upscales DVD content. I'm very happy that my Apple TV can remain a high-quality source.
8. Standard definition television looks pretty good with this TV, much better than on other LCDs that I've seen (but of course it's still obviously standard definition).
9. The 4671 clearly reveals variable quality among HD sources. When watching HD television channels, some are obviously more compressed, using poorer-quality cameras, and otherwise not as well produced as others. ESPN HD and Discovery HD Theatre generally look excellent, although on HD Theatre you can definitely see the differences in production quality between the various shows.
10. Finally, consider getting an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player that outputs 1080/24Hz content. Movies are shot at 24 frames per second, and the 4671 can accept a 1080/24 signal. This provides the purest movie-watching experience without interpolation of frame rates.
